Katherine has been singing since the age of 12 with Zullmah Hopkins ARCM of Great Ayton. She has taken numerous stage roles over the last few years, including for Opera Nova, Micaela in Carmen and Cherubino in The Marriage of Figaro; for Stockton Stage Society, Tuptim in The King and I, Marsinah in Kismet and Valencienne in The Merry Widow; and for Teesside Operatic Society, Magnolia in Showboat and Julie Jordon in Carousel. She is shortly to play Pamina in The Magic Flute for Opera Nova.

Katherine spends her spare time when not working and singing, looking after her 3 year old son Simon and her husband Malcolm, as well as preparing for a new arrival in February.
