| Voice: |
I believe so – oh, sorry – 2nd Tenor
or Baritone if needed |
| Favourite song: |
Depends how I feel on any given day. More likely
to be an organ work anyway. |

important. |
| Things you are proud of: |
Managing some years ago now to play a recognisable
version of Bach’s Passacaglia and fugue on Lucon Cathedral
organ (not a recital) after being woken up every 15 minutes the
previous night by the cathedral clock. |
| |
Having an impromptu unaccompanied performance
of the Hallelujah Chorus in the Theatre Orchestra at Apidauros the
first time Cleveland Classics Society visited. |
| |
Helping successfully to campaign for the introduction
of Transpennine rail services to Middlesbrough and (more recently)
Grand Central’s Sunderland – London Trains. |
| |
I am of course far too modest to think of any
more really such as having learned to play the piano from the same
music teacher as George Clarkson did. |
| Are you a soloist: |
Perhaps but definitely not a solo singer –
see final question |
| What songs are in your soloist repertoire: |
It varies according to which voluntaries I feel
like practicing/revising at any given time. |
| Would you like to do solos/duets: |
Only in the sense of accompanying either category |
| Full songs or bits of choir pieces: |
I’d aim to survive to the end of whatever
bit was being performed |
| When did you join the choir: |
1967 |
| Why: |
Ken Charnock, then teaching at Bede Hall, Billingham,
invited me |
