Rachel has sung with the Stockton Male Voice Choir for over a year now, and is a valued member of the team. She is a very talented Mezzo-Soprano who is local to the North East. Currently studying at sixth form college, Rachel has a very busy schedule, but frequently performs guest spots within SMVC concerts throughout the North of England.

At just 17 years old, Rachel has been accepted into The National Youth Training Choir, and also performs with Quay Voices in Gateshead. She has been awarded a distinction in her grade 6 singing exam after attempting to convince the world that she had done badly on the day, she is hoping to be taking her grade 8 exams this year. Rachel is very grateful to all the support and tuition she has received from her music teacher, Leigh Harrison.

In addition to her spectacular voice, Rachel is also studying grade 8 in her examinations for the clarinet and grade 6 in piano. She was fortunate enough to have received a master class in the piano from internationally renowned pianist Richard Meyrick. However the list of achievements is longer still, Rachel is involved with many music activities at her school including conducting the school wind band (watch out Andy!!).

Having completed her GCSE's (with excellent grades), Rachel is now at college and hopes to progress to university and a career in music.
